With rapid development of urban rail transit system and the introduction of related policies, UUS utilization will certainly see a booming future, and UUS planning will become increasingly important. Across China, a basic technological framework for UUS planning is emerging but various issues still need to be resolved. Therefore, it is important to have a clear understanding of the current UUS planning status and recognize existing problems and solutions to ensure a sustainable urban development.
